WHAT'S NEW?

Compared to carset 1.0 we changed the following things:

   * New cars
   * New helmets
   * New performances

There's also an .EXE version available which contains:
   * A nice installation procedure for Windows 3.1 or higher which
makes the installation even more easier to do.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
ABOUT THE CARSET

Pieter's 1994 Regular Carset 1.1 will update the ultimate formula one
simulator Grandprix 2 original's 1994 season with new cars and
  performances.

There's also a Senna carset available which contains the drivers that
were all present at the start of the tragic season:
Senna (Williams), Lamy (Lotus), Lehto (Benetton), Wendlinger (Sauber)
  and Ratzenbuger (Simtek).

  This set contains:
1994 cars, drivers, helmets, numbers, performance patch that supports
all versions of GP2, pitbox order patch, changed cockpit colors to
match the colors of the cars, new pitcrew colors and new wheels.

  NOTE:
This carset uses the default BHP and weight values for the player's
car, so it should be no problem to use it with a racing league.

To install the carset read the installation section below.

The latest version of this carset and other Pieter's carsets
can be found on Pieter's GP2 Homepage: http://VOLftp.tin.it/GP2

------------------------------------------------------------------------
ABOUT THE PATCH

The patch that's used in this carset (P94CS11.GP2), is created with
  Steven Young's GP2Edit v1.60 for Windows.
You need this editor to install the carset.
You can also use the editor to adjust some settings, if you want to.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
ABOUT THE WHEELS

The wheels have been designed by James Ariz exclusively for Pieter's
Grandprix 2 Carsets and may not be distributed as a separate
GP2 add-on or included as part of any other GP2 carset.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: This carset will change your original GP2.EXE, F1GSTATE.SAV
             and JAM files!
During installation you will be asked whether or not you
want to make a backup of these files.

You can only use this carset if you used the maximum
             installation of GP2.

You can either install the set by using the Editor for Windows, or
by the DOS Exporter that's provided with the editor.

This is what you have to do:

  1. Download and install GP2 Edit v1.60.
     You can find it on:
     - Pieter's GP2 Homepage
        http://VOLftp.tin.it/GP2
     - The GP2 Edit page
        http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/smyoung/gp2edit.htm

  2. Before you load the set, disable the Fix Green Palette option
     in the Options/Program Configuration menu!
This will make some of the cars look better.

  3. Using Windows:
Load the file P94CS11.GP2 into the editor and choose menu
Options, Export to Game to install the set.

     Using DOS:
Please refer to the GP2DOSX.TXT file that comes with GP2 Edit.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
TROUBLE SHOOTING

During installation you probably will see a remark about the changed
palette. You can ignore this, it will cause no problems.

If you are experiencing some troubles, try to patch GP2 again, using
the original unaltered GP2.EXE and F1GSTATE.SAV.

When you load a previously saved game, the names, numbers and cockpit
colors will change to their original values. Remember this!
If you did load a saved game by accident and you saved the changes,
you can reset the game to the 1994 season by simply loading the
saved game P94CS11.QRL that's in the GP2\94CARSET directory.
Then exit GP2 with saving the changes activated.

If GP2 crashes after the installation of the set, simply delete the
file F1GSTATE.SAV from your GP2 directory, then start the game again
and load the saved game P94CS11.QRL that's in the GP2\94CARSET
directory. Next exit GP2 with saving the changes activated.

The helmets in the menu can not be changed yet.
But within the game they are ok.
