 GP2Pit ver. 1.1

 for Microprose's Grand Prix 2
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This small utility allow you to change the order of team's pit boxes.
I tested it with 'US English ver.10b' version of Grand Prix 2, and it works
good.

   How to do it?

Copy file gp2pit.exe to your main GP2 directory. Be sure that your gp2.exe
file isn't 'read-only'. To remove read-only attribute do it: attrib -R gp2.exe
 Syntax:
  gp2pit
   or
  gp2pit [p] [filename]
   or
  gp2pit [porg]

  where:
whithout any option/parametr: you will enter pit box order editor.

filename : is normal DOS name with extension, like: 'my.pit'
porg : this option will patch GP2.EXE file with original pit box
           order settings.
p : option 'patch'. It will patch GP2.EXE with pit box order
settings, stored in file. Files with it are generated by gp2pit

 Examples:
gp2pit p test.pit - it will patch GP2.EXE file with pit box settings
                      stored in test.pit file.

gp2pit porg - it will patch your GP2.EXE file with original pit box
                      order
gp2pit - you will enter pit box order editor

 Pit box order editor:
just type: gp2pit and hit <ENTER> key.

You now see at the left where each team has their main pit box. The bottom
is - enter of the pit lane, the top is end of the pit lane.

 Keys:

'W' - Swaping pit box. Press 'W' key. Then you can select fist team to
swap. What key to press now is shown just before team name.
Keys from '1' to '9', and alfabetical from 'A' to 'K'.
Now press key again, for selecting second team. After it you will
see that these two teams changed position.

'S' - Save to file. This option will generate new file of REWRITE (!!!)
existing whithout info about it! Press 'S' key, and than enter max
8 chars as a DOS file name. This program will add extension '.pit'
to this name. So, you now have stored pit box order in file.

'L' - Load from file. This option will load pit box order from file.
Type 'L', and then enter max 8 chars as DOS file name. File must
exist. :) Program will add extension '.pit' to given name. This mean,
that all pit box order saved files must have '.pit' extension!

'R' - Restore from GP2.EXE file. This option will load pit box order
       settings from your GP2.EXE file.

'O' - Restore original settings. This option will bring you to screen
       original pit box order.

'P' - Patch the game. This option will modify your GP2.EXE file, with
pit box settings as they are on the Gp2Pit screen now.

 'X' - Exit this program.

Additional info:

The pit box order in Grand Prix 2 is based on final results of FIA Formula
One Constructors Championship in season 1993, and FIA Formula One rules.

This game seems to be able to host up to 20 teams, but tracks looks to
have only 16 pit box, so try put teams in first (from bottom) 16 pit boxes.

Due to funny rules in Grand Prix 2 you can enter pit as fast as you can
(try Monza), and computer will brake for you. But if your team is i.e.
Williams you are in troubles, becouse braking isn't to fast, and you will
miss Williams' pit box. That is why I wrote this tool. :)

 Versions:
 ver 1.0 26.08.96 - first version
