	***NOTE***
Do *NOT* use this patch without having a backup of the game, as the patch
alters the original gamefile. Just copy appropriate GP2.EXE (from the CD) to
your GP2-dir if something goes wrong.

Today, July 12 1997 it is exactly one year since GP2 was first sighted in the
stores in Germany. A few days later it was released in the rest of Europe.
Well, ofcourse we have to celebrate this somehow - so I made this editor! :)

Actually, it's a coincidence that this is released exactly one year after
D-day. I've been getting quite a number of requests for an editor which
changes the number of points awarded for finishing the race in the different
positions.

So here it is, GP2Point - an editor which allows you to change how many points
are awarded for finishing in position 1 to 26.

What to do
----------
First make sure your GP2.EXE isn't writeprotected. If it is, run the following
command (in DOS):	attrib -R gp2.exe <enter>
Then copy the file GP2POINT.EXE to your game directory.

Run it by typing GP2POINT <enter>.

The editor
----------
GP2Point will try to detect which version of GP2 you are using and print it on
the top of the screen. If the reported version isn't correct or is reported
as unknown please contact me (email address below).

In the middle of the screen there are 26 white fields representing the number
of points for the respective finishing positions.

The maximum number of points is 99.

The functions you can use in the editor are:

F1: Import values from GP2.EXE
F2: Edit values on screen
TAB/BackTab:Jump to next/previuos field when editing.
ESC: Quit editing values
F3: Export values from GP2.EXE
F4: Restore all points values in GP2.EXE to original state.
F5: Quit to DOS.

NOTE!
-----
(1) FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 1997 SPORTING REGULATIONS, article 171
says:

"Cars having covered less than 90% of the number of laps covered by the winner
(rounded down to the nearest whole number of laps), will not be classified."

This also applies to GP2. So if you choose to give points all the way down to
position 26, still only the classified finishers will get points.

(2) Only the top six finshers will be listed in the Driver/Constructor Race
Point-box after the race. Also, if you check the Pointsfinishers-box in the
Seasons Results screen you'll only get the drivers who have finished in the
top six. (Didn't have the motivation to fix this)

(3) The patch works also on saved championships.

Which versions of the game does GP2Point handle?
------------------------------------------------
UK English 1.0b, US English 1.0b, German 1.0b, Dutch 1.0b, Spanish 1.0b,
Italian 1.0b and French 1.0b. As far as I know these are all the versions
currently existing. If this is wrong, please contact me (email address below).

The program will try to determine which version you are using and print the
version on screen. If the version reported is not correct, please contact me.

If your version is reported as "Unknown" the progam will exit. If you have an
"Unknown" version I suggest you contact me and I'll add support for your
version.
