Re: Greyhead's thread
Absolutely amazing stuff Greyhead, I'm VERY impressed. I tried to create something similar myself a couple of years ago, but found it much more time-consuming than I was expecting. Mind you, is manipulating shapes in Photoshop the way to achieve this sort of thing? Unfortunately, I never actually co...

Re: Save Error - Cannot Save File
Thanks for your reply samsepi0l
I've been using version ECE, but I've also tried 0.74 and get the same error message with both.

Save Error - Cannot Save File
Hello I've just come across a curious error while playing the 1989 season mod. Having just started the Portuguese Grand Prix weekend (round 13), I went to save my progress and was confronted with the following error: Save Error Cannot Create File No matter what I call the file, it always comes up wi...

Re: Say hello if your still playing GP2
Thanks very much for the update, Jake. I'll keep an eye out for 1991 next month (I can't wait!). You did a superb job with the 1990 season, by the way. I was gripped all the way through to the Adelaide showdown. It was a shame about the incorrect 'Distance to pit in' value on the Phoenix circuit. Ne...

Hello Jake
Any news on when the 1991 season will be starting?
I'm in need of my RRML fix!

Re: Changing PC - would like to keep playing Grand Prix 2
Problem Solved!
After some further research, I found the solution by going into the Dosbox compatibility settings and ticking "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution".
Now I can enjoy Grand Prix 2 full screen again
Hope this proves useful to somebody else out there.

Re: Changing PC - would like to keep playing Grand Prix 2
samsepi0l I followed your advice and installed Dosbox ECE. I've got everything working and the gamepad mapped correctly, but I just can't seem to stretch the Grand Prix 2 window to remove the black bars either side. I duplicated the settings I used on my Windows 7 computer where I had the game scree...

Re: Changing PC - would like to keep playing Grand Prix 2
Thanks very much for the replies.
Is there a settings file in my current DosBox installation folder that I can copy across to retain my controller setup?
Also, am I able to simply copy the complete GP2 folder (with mods and addons) from one computer to the other?
Regards
Neil

Changing PC - would like to keep playing Grand Prix 2
Hello Thanks to the fantastic help from the people on this forum, I'm currently halfway through a 1989 season of GP2 running DosBox and using a USB gamepad on my current Windows 7 Fujitsu PC. I'm now in the process of upgrading to a 64-bit Windows 10 Dell Optiplex and I'd like to complete the season...

Re: Jacarepaguá track pit lane issue
Hello I had exactly the same issue with the Jacarepagua track while playing a mod of the 1989 season. Thanks to guidance from the wonderful people on the forum, I managed to solve it by adjusting the 'Distance to Pit In' to 20, while the 'Pit in speed' is set to 20480. This enabled the Brazilian Gra...

Re: GP2 modding to a newbie
That's brilliant, thanks so much for the info. I've downloaded the Slot & Tyre Editor, but I'm just wondering with regards the "distance to pit in", is it just a case of trial and error, or is there a way to work out the correct number required for the circuit? Also, with the "Qual Timing" and "Race...

Re: GP2 modding to a newbie
Thanks very much for the additional help. Apologies for not replying sooner, but I've been busy with other things these past few weeks (oh to be 12 again!). I managed to find a solution to the helmet designer issue by installing Irfanview and extracting the correct palette. Over the weekend I finall...

Re: GP2 modding to a newbie
After installing GP2 Edit I've loaded the 1989 mod and been trying to create a new helmet design, but without success. If I edit the '1989helmets_nt12' file in Photoshop, when I try to load it into GP2 Edit, it just brings up the error message 'Couldn't load Bitmap'. Alternatively, if I edit the bmp...
