1998 Le Mans 24h
1998 Le Mans 24h
Many remember the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans as one of the most interesting in the history of the race, but the 1998 edition, even without the dramas and the accidents of 1999, remains a classic one. We have in fact the same number of manufacturers involved as in 1999 (five: BMW, Toyota, Mercedes, Nissan and Porsche instead of Audi), other manufacturers represented by private entries (McLaren, Ferrari) and a couple of chassis manufacturers (Riley&Scott, Kremer, Courage and also Panoz from the United States).
During the first lockdown of 2020 I was putting some order into my many many (too many) folders of GP2 and I noticed there were some cars from the 1998 Le Mans race but without a full carset. So I decided to put them together with the 1999 carset which F.K. made many years ago. I had to update the cars to the 1998 year and do two more cars by myself (Nissan and Kremer).
This is the final result! I had some struggles with the performance values, due to the fact that the 24 Hours of that year was the sole important race of the season and the only in which the cars raced together.
Don´t forget to use the latest version of the Circuit de la Sarthe with the updates made last year by Antonio. For the carshape use the same of the 1999 carset by F.K.
Enjoy!

Thanks for the comments....and great to see joqan back in the forum!
I´ve corrected a small mistake...but you don´t necessarily need to download the carset again...I´ve just changed the name of a driver.
You only need to go to the team Riley&Scott and replace the name Rodriguez with Radigues, being the driver who raced Didier de Radigues.
If there are any other mistakes let me know.
