I would like to know why the drawing I do in paint is so distorted when going to the GP2 Editor. I already tried paint.net and it gave the same thing. I'd like to make a carset, but if I can't solve this problem, the new carset will be completely unfeasible.

Re: Carset Paint Problems
Do you use Windows 10?
I had the same problem when tried to edit bitmaps from tracks' JAM files. I got the solution using an old Windows XP machine and its MS Paint there. However, when I tried online paint, or other editors, I got no solution, and when I imported those BMP to my JAM files, it shows the same kind of distorted image

I build full carsets and tracks from scratch for ICR2. I also make cars and modify carsets for GP2. I use GIMP. It's available for windows and works great. You can work with pallets, and index them. It's like photoshop but open-source and much better!

It works, mate! haha
The good and old MS Paint still is the bravest for our 256 colors BMP files editing
