Home | >>> Installation
Step 1:
Before you start with the installation make sure you made backups of
the following things: helmet- and carshape, sounds, game settings. Best
solution is in my opinion to import everything from your GP2 with
GP2edit and save this carset as backup-carset. In addition to that you
should import the helmet- and carshape with Paul Hoad's car-editor, so
that you can re-install everything later. Step
2: In
GP2
there's the
problem, that you see the other cars with F1 the original
GP2-carshapes when they're in a certain distance of your view-position.
But there is a solution for it:
carshape
distance value 3200 (standard GP2)
solution:
carshape distance value 40000 | You need
to have GP2lap
installed for this!
With GP2lap you can change SvgaRcr1, SvgaRcr2, SvgaRcr3 !
-Make sure gp2lap.cfg isn't marked "read only"
-Open gp2lap.cfg (NotePad/WordPad)
-Go to [Rcr] in gp2lap.cfg
-delete all the >>> ; <<< in the lines SvgaRcr1, SvgaRcr2, SvgaRcr3
-Now your can replace the settings for :
SvgaRcr1 : view from cockpit
SvgaRcr2 : onboard cameras
SvgaRcr3 : track camera's and front/back of car cameras
Higher distance increases the PO (processor occupation).
You must try out which settings are good for your PC (10000, 20000,
......)
If you don't have GP2lap installed yet, you can get it from
www.grandprix2.de, just click here to go to
the
download page!
Step 3: Now you can export everything
into GP2. With the car-editor you
export the carshape and the helmet (which is invisible now). Then
export the carset to GP2, and don't forget to select all carset-data!!
Step 4:
After this
long and maybe a bit difficult installation there's only one thing to
add: Have fun! |
