The team is owned by Ralf Ernst and its headquarter is Aachen, Germany. This is near the border to both the Netherlands and Belgium. So there are 2 GrandPrix circuits within the reach of 75km, Spa-Franchorchamps and the Nürburgring. But the real Home-GP is, of course, at the high-speed Hockenheimring in Germany. |

The highlights in the history of the team have been a place on the
podium at the German GP in Hockenheim, and an invitation for the 1996/97
final Master-Race event. In both the drivers and team standings team woodcar
has been able to finish inside the Top 10 of class B.
In the 1997/98 season team woodcar finishes on 6th place in the class B final standings. |

This season the woodcar will drive again with the incredible overdrive engine. The team took the option for renewing the contract for a second year. It makes the team really competitive in the championship. The engine is well known for its reliability, and it is nearly maintenance-free. This allows the team to concentrate on setting-up the car, and the drivers on driving it ;-) |

The chassis of the woodcar done several tests in the wind-tunnel. Finally a high-nose design is choosen. The monococ is tested in crash-tests as extremly robust, too. It is produced in a carbon-wood sandwich style. So there are no risks for the drivers in case of accidents. |

The car is painted in a very woody design, based on the last seasons painting of the car. Now there are added the logos of the 3 virtual team sponsors and, of course, of the team woodcar. Download the new design of the woodcar, including the driver's helmet designs as a zipped BMP-file. |
