»How to prepare Gp2 for racing in the
league |
Be sure you use your Grand Prix 2 with all original values. If you
are not sure if you have used any editors that modified things like cc-cars
performance or track values in the past we recommend to re-install your
Grand Prix 2 to avoid problems. It is not necessary to install a new Gp2
but so you can be sure you made everything right. We also recommend to
use no further editors or utilities for your league Gp2 than Steven Young's
Gp2Edit and Gp2Lap. |
 |
The first step is to download the latest version of the carset from
the downloads page of the league. Then you have to export it into your
Gp2 using Steven Young's Gp2Edit v1.84 (If you don't have it you can download
it from the networks' download site). Be sure to export all items of the
carset into your Gp2. |
 |
The only thing you can change is the cockpit. If you want to use your
own one you can do it. |
 |
The next step is to install Gp2Lap v1.14. It is also available on the
networks' download site in the utilities section. Download and install
it using the documentation in the zip-archive. |
 |
As the last step you have to download the track from the league's download
section and install it into the right slot. If you've done this right your
Grand Prix 2 should be ready for action! |

»How to run a qualifying session |
Be sure you followed the instructions under the section above!!! Then
start a non-championship race. Start a qualifying session and save your
fastest hotlap.
Name the files as the following and send it to tizianofurlan@xyz.it
Q_nn_dn.xxx
Q |
means that this is a qualification lap. It remains!!! |
nn |
is the driver number. This should be yours! |
dn |
are the driver initals. Should be yours, too! |
xxx |
is the file suffix given by Gp2. Should not be changed! |
For example: If my name is Horst Schmidt and my number would be 55,
I would have to name my lap: Q_55_HS.HLX ! |

»How to run a race session |
After the qualifying deadline has ended a grid will be published on
the results page. Look what place you have qulaified and go to the driving
options menu in the driving menu. Set the quick race start position the
same as the your position on the grid. Then start a quick race. Be sure
you drive as many laps as it is shown in the schedule. If not you have
to adjust your quick race length or the number of laps with Gp2Edit. During
your race you have to save your fastest lap. When the race is over wait
till the "race over" box appears and save your game. Name the files as
the following:
sc_dn_nn.xxx
sc |
the session code. for the saved game it is ra and for the hotlap hl |
dn |
your driver number.! |
nn |
your initials. |
xxx |
is the file suffix given by Gp2. |
For example: If my name is Horst Schmidt and my number would be 55,
I would have to name my saved game: RA_55_HS.QRX and my fastest
lap: HL_55_HS.HLX
Please zip the files before you send them to tizianofurlan@xyz.it |

»Meeting deadlines |
The certain deadlines of the sessions can be seen on the schedule.
You have to send your files until the shown date on 0:00 CET. |

»General rules |
To make the league fair and nice for everybody it is necessary to follow
some other rules:
 |
Because of the big performance differences between the certain skill
levels it is necessary to drive in ace mode. |
 |
You can use all standard driving aids including F2, F5, F6, F7. |
 |
The driving aids F1, F3 and F4 are not allowed. If you use them you
will be disqualified. |
 |
It is also necessary to drive with a keyboard. You won't be allowed
to drive with a wheel !!! |
 |
If you are on a race session you can save your game. But you're not
allowed to reload it. You must drive in a unique session or your race won't
be accepted. |
 |
Due to a bug in Gp2 your average processor occupancy mustn't be higher
than 100%. And you mustn't be more than 5 seconds above 100%. This is necessary
because of the slow-mo the game does if the PO is above 100%. Your time
gets counted slower and you have more time to react. That's why there is
such a rule. |
---------- |
»Cheating |
All kinds of cheating will be penalised. If it occurs one time you
will be disqualified. If it occurs often you will be banned !!! Better
you don't cheat and you won't get caught. |
---------- |

»Team's championship |

the team has earned. The team that has earned the most points will be the
Grandprix2.net League Constructor's Champion, of course. |
